QMS Leadership & Guidance

I provide leadership in developing and implementing robust Quality Management Systems (QMS) focused on:

Project QA/QC Support (Full Lifecycle)

I offer hands-on Quality Assurance and Quality Control management for Consortium/JV, EPCI, and T&I projects, including subcontractors and suppliers. This includes:

  • Planning: Comprehensive requirements review and creation of Project Quality Plans, ITPs, and Audit Plans.
  • Monitoring & Control: Executing audits, QA/QC inspections incl. production batch control to identify issues and opportunities early.
  • Documentation: Managing all quality records, including as-builts, NCRs, and punch lists (LOP) for a smooth handover.

Auditing for Continuous Improvement

Auditing is a key tool for promoting process maturity and mitigating risk. My auditing services are aligned with ISO-19011 principles and focus on:

  • System Baselining: Establishing a clear baseline of systems and processes.
  • Process Mapping: Using visual aids to improve understanding and identify opportunities for improvement among all stakeholders.
  • Risk Mitigation: Performing criticality assessments and developing a roadmap to process maturity.

Digital Activity-Inspection Reporting

To streamline the completion and takeover process, I utilize digital reporting for key activities. This modern approach ensures:

  • Real-Time Reporting: Inspection reports are approved on-site and uploaded for prompt internal release and client submission.
  • Enhanced Traceability: Document numbers are pre-assigned for easy tracking and compilation into as-built packs.
  • Added Value Information: Punch list register and progress tracker are maintained and accessible.

Experience

Since 2010
Served as a QC Lead and Project Quality Manager for submarine HV/FO power cable systems. In this role, I have participated in over 50 projects, working with diverse cables, accessories, and Consortium EPCI packages.
2000 - 2003
Focused on the development and production of remote optical amplifiers, passive branching units and joints for short-haul submarine cable systems.
1995 - 1997
Shifted to technical support for procurement and subcontracting, gaining experience in project cost estimation and R&D for Federal Systems.
1984 - 1995
Began with the production of SL repeaters and branching units for transoceanic telecom systems, focusing on product engineering and reliability certification. Participated in the rollout of ISO-9001.
